The CDI Alternative

We have over 25 years of experience servicing educational facilities, and if there is one challenge our customers relate to us over and over again, it is the difficulty in meeting rising technology needs with dwindling budgets.

What CDI provides is a viable solution to that challenge. Over 10,000 educational facilities across North America have doubled and tripled their computer to student ratios by making the switch to CDI refurbished computers; and they made the switch without sacrificing the brands (Dell, HP/Compaq & IBM) prefer or the warranty, service and support they demand.

We have worked hard to provide solutions to the problems you face and we believe our focus on education and commitment to quality can make your goal of providing more computers to students achievable and satisfying.

Below are the most common questions and answers our educational customers have asked us when considering the switch to CDI refurbished computers.

.What exactly is CDI Certified?

CDI Certified is a unique certification process by which brand name computers are cleaned, tested and refurbished to the highest standards. A second touch increases reliability, overall quality and order accuracy. Because of these high quality standards CDI Certified computers also boast the longest warranties in the industry.

.Is my selection limited?

No. In fact, our selection of product is far larger than what you would find when purchasing directly from the manufacturer.

We carry corporate grade computers from Dell, HP/Compaq, IBM, Toshiba and more. We stock over 10,000 units at all times and our product spans from older Pentium 4 PC's to nearly new Core 2 Duo machines.

For ease of service we are able to match your exact preferred brand and model in the exact configuration you need.

.Would I sacrifice speed or performance?

For the vast majority of educational uses, no. Our computers are as new as 6-months old and fully configurable to your needs. Everything from lower end Pentium 4's to the newest Core 2 Duo machines is available. Whatever your technical requirements are we have a unit to match.

.Are they as reliable as new machines?

According to every statistic we have, they are more reliable. Our A+ certified technicians and state of the art facility ensures that refurbished CDI computers have a lower failure rate than new equipment. Each computer is rigorously tested when it arrives at our facility and then again when it ships to our customers.

Our PC failure rate is currently under 3% while notebooks and LCD's are under 2%.

.Would I sacrifice warranty or service?

Absolutely not. We are committed to providing superior service and warranty than what you would get purchasing new equipment directly from the manufacturer.

Our base warranties for all equipment is 3-years parts & labour. Our Customer Service representatives deal only with educational customers and are trained for the unique challenges you face.

.Can I get custom imaging?

Custom imaging is included with every CDI computer. We understand how difficult it can be to deploy hundreds of computers with limited manpower and little time. We will work with your technical department to create and install a unique, custom image tailored by you.

.What about next business day on-site warranty?

We have a better alternative. Our HotSwap warranty provides nearly 0 downtime by having replacement units at your facility before anything goes wrong. For every number of computers purchased from CDI we will provide additional, free units to store at your facility in case of failure. You are able to deploy a brand new unit immediately without waiting for technicians or repairs.

If preferred, we can also supply a set of replacement parts so your technical department can conduct repairs immediately.

.How can we finance these purchases?

Immediately upon becoming a CDI customer, all educational facilities receive automatic 60-day terms. We are able to extend these terms if your needs are immediate but your budget allocation is distant.

We are also able to lease or finance the purchase of computers at better than market rates.

.What size orders can you handle?

Our most recent district wide roll out was a massive deployment of over $4,000,000 of computers in 27 different schools. Our smallest orders are single units for personal use by teachers.

Our Logistics team is able to ship as many units as you need to as many locations within a specified time frame.
