Logistics and Transportation: CDI completely manages the de-installation, handling, processing and shipping of equipment to our facilities or directly to the purchaser from your facility. Alternately CDI can provide on-site inspection, appraisal, and packaging services as well. We can also arrange for the efficient retrieval and consolidation of multi-location assets spread out across the US and Canada. By working with CDI you can avoid the costs associated with the handling and re-handling your surplus technological assets. Facilities: Equipment transported to CDI will be audited, inspected and tested, and warehoused in our 40,000 square foot state-of-the-art warehousing and refurbishment facility located in Markham, Ontario. We have additional partner warehouse sites located across the United States. Appraisal & Valuation: We have over 20 years of valuation and appraisal experience and can prepare desktop opinions of value (this opinion is not an appraisal) our complete appraisal with on-site inspection of your equipment. An appraisal will determine the market driven value of the technology assets, regardless of cost, book value, accrued depreciation, or other artificial factors. The appraisal will answer the simple question "what revenues would be achieved if these technology assets were to be offered and sold to the open market". Our valuation services focus on current market and industry trends, proper appraisal methodology, and include recommended disposition / marketing methods. Quality Assurance: CDI's technicians can perform complete diagnostics checks using the latest technology, and repair equipment as necessary to enhance value to the equipment. For unique and specialized equipment we utilized factory trained technicians to audit and service equipment on a case-by-case basis. Depending upon the condition of the equipment and cost to repair or upgrade the equipment it is, refurbished, sold "as is", torn down for parts value, or recycled. Marketing and Advertising: CDI utilizes all our resources when it comes to promoting, and selling your equipment to get you the best return on your equipment. For bulk and industry specific sales CDI utilizes our well established relationships with thousands of electronic wholesalers, dealer's, retailers, and end users throughout the US and Canada, also we utilize our industry-specific relationships to reach target customers both efficiently and effectively, and allow a broad exposure to the market. Direct Sales Force: Our direct sales organization covers all markets across North America, and is composed of seasoned professionals with extensive experience in re-marketing a wide variety of technology equipment. For equipment with limited marketability domestically, CDI capitalizes on international buyers of container shipments. Risk Management: The disposal of computer and IT related equipment poses unique risks to all businesses and organizations. Confidential information, software licensing, and potential civil and criminal liability for improper handling are risks that CDI manages for you. Hard drives are thoroughly "scrubbed" ensuring that any and all confidential information is fully erased. All company information and asset tags are removed through de-labeling. All non-remarketable equipment is then processed and disposed of in as environmentally friendly manner as possible and in compliance with all federal and state recycling laws. A final report with environmental compliance is prepared and issued to you for your records.
